Family performances, street comedies, adaptations of fairy tales and backyard shows – Dziecinada returns after a one-year break. This year’s edition will be held on September 24-26, outdoors only.
The latest production of Teatr Klinika Lalek (Theatre Klinika Lalek), guests from Czechia and Sweden, circus workshops for young and the old – Culture Zone Wrocław and Foundation for the Support of Alternative and Ecological Cultures would like to invite you to three days of communing with the theatre – not only aimed at children. This year’s edition will be entirely moved to the open air, and all activities will be concentrated around Impart, which has been the main seat of the event for several years.
The festival will be started by the Swedes from the Awake Projects group – a musical journey that begins with the melodies of Swedish folk and children’s songs, and then takes the viewers on a concert tour around the world. Teatr Klinika Lalek prepared something for whole families. Their latest production, Gulliver’s Cosmic Travel, will surely allow you to get away from it all for a while. Teatr Żelazny (Theatre Żelazny) will show The Cheating Flea, an adaptation of a fairy tale by Jan Brzechwa, full of music from the 1920s, with colourful stage design and fast-paced acting. Another novel was taken up by Teatr AYA (Theatre AYA), the actors will present the play Alice in Wonderland, adapted to the trends of the 21st century, which covers topics such as blogging, social media, love, friendship, authenticity, destiny. The Pinocchio backyard show will be presented by Teatr Baj (Theatre Baj) – it will be loud, musical, theatrical and on a grand scale.
Among the novelties is the introduction of a pass, the holder of which will be able to see most of the performances or take part in various activities. One of the permanent attractions will be the Circus Town, where experienced animators will teach the youngest children circus art, e.g. tightrope walking, juggling and walking on stilts. The guests from Czechia will prepare the Stínohra (Shadowplay) interactive installation – everyone will be able to participate in fun activities consisting of various games based on experimenting and interacting with light, shadow and puppets.
