A wordless performance, suitable for deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences, as well as non-Polish-speaking viewers.
What is that sound? Is this the melody of fire or earth? Of water, metal or tree?
A play about the five elements with a simple rhyming text. The elements of earth, wood, metal, water and fire are presented through the play of sound and movement. During the performance, a construction of coloured circles is being put together, which at the end combines with the elements to form a kind of sculpture-installation art. The actresses’ movements are accompanied by live music played on a transverse flute, which creates a very delicate background for the events on stage.
The Atofri Theatre is one of the first artistic companies for 17 years creating performances for children as young as one year old. By meeting the youngest audiences over the years, the theatre has created its own individual language, which is distinguished by an abstract approach to the themes being presented, high-quality music, interesting set design, and lots of movement and dance. The idea behind the Atofri Theatre is to tell stories about the world around us in a simple and poetic way, sensitising children to movement, colour, form, and sound.
