Little shadows show that music for children does not have to be infantile or boring; it can move, entertain and surprise with its sound.
This concert is suggested for the children (and their parents) who are looking for something more than the usual ‘light’ children music. Instead of simple melodies and infantile ‘disco’ sounds, we will hear a wide range of styles, from trip-hop to blues and indie rock. The lyrics range from topics that may spark important conversations, about sadness, anger or frustration, to songs full of absurdity that will make children audiences burst into laughter. Because, after all, every child needs in their life a song about the right to cry, but also a song about poo.
Little shadows’ concert broadens musical horizons, treating children as attentive and sensitive audience members, ready for more than clichés and simple melodies. It is an artistically conscious programme that does not simplify the children’s world, but deepens it: through interesting sounds, intelligent humour, and the courage to speak about emotions.
