The International Festival of Children’s Theatres “Dziecinada” is once again hitting the road! This time it will travel to Smolnik to invite the youngest audiences to a unique encounter with theatre. On September 14, “Dziecinada on Tour” will arrive at the John Paul II Primary School in Smolnik with a special international performance “Second Chances” (“Chances, Segundas Oportunidades”).
“Second chances” is a story about flying, falling, and trying again. “Life always gives us second chances; we just need the courage to take them.” A show that blends humor, poetry, and a reflection on failure, fresh attempts, and those trains that always come around again. The play is inspired by the myth of Icarus, that brave dreamer who dared to fly, knowing he might fall.
It’s universal– it speaks of something we’ve all experienced—trying, failing, and starting over. It connects emotionally – audiences leave inspired, with laughter and a hopeful reflection. It’s versatile and approachable – perfect for theaters or festivals, it uses a visual and poetic language with minimal words, reaching people of all ages.
In “Chances”, we turn this metaphor into an invitation to celebrate the journey, the falls, and the second chances life offers us. It’s a story told with vulnerability and poetry, featuring moments that spark laughter and others that inspire dreams.
A wordless performance, suitable for deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences, as well as non-Polish-speaking viewers.
With three self-produced shows and four awards won, Piero Partigianoni began his career by founding ImmaginarioTeatro in 2014 with his first show, Welcome, embarking on several years of national and international touring. In 2018, after settling in Granada, he founded his own company, Cía Piero Partigianoni – Clown Poético, inheriting Welcome from ImmaginarioTeatro. His shows Hojas Viento and Aires marked the beginning of a new creative phase. His vision of the scenic universe through the language of poetic clowning merges gesture, material, live music, and humor. A poetic aura envelops his stories, addressing universal themes that connect with humanity. His stage becomes an ideal space to move, make people laugh, and captivate audiences worldwide.
The artistic proposals of Cía Piero Partigianoni reflect the themes and scenic languages explored in his clown courses, establishing a direct and constantly evolving connection. Among the most recurring themes are vulnerability, encounter, freedom and beauty. The artistic languages used aim to convey a message in a highly poetic form, enriched with elements from the dreamlike world of the clown. The poetry of objects, the plasticity of the body, and the magic of images merge with gesture theater, visual rhetoric, comedy, the innocence of clowning, and live music.
